As holiday parties quickly approach, I am on the lookout for any and all pieces that scream “holiday season”. Therefore, any velvet dress I can find, I love for the occasion. I am a sucker for the elegance and glamour of the velvet pieces on shelves this year.
Velvet for the Holidays

The snow finally arrived here in Ohio and I soaked it up right before I left for Dallas. As much as I love the warm weather of Texas, I came back craving some snow before I return home again for the holidays. There is something so magical about the feeling of snow that makes me want to break out all of my holiday attire as quickly as possible.
Holiday wardrobes consist of all things sequin, embellished, embroidered and sparkly. On top of that, I know I love to drown my seasonal selections in jeweled tones and festive fabrics. Therefore, when the velvet trend started kicking back into gear this year I knew my Christmas choices would be exciting. We have a huge Christmas Eve party at my house every year and one of the most exciting things is picking out the dresses with my sisters that we will wear each year.
This December, I have a handful of events to attend and want to take advantage of the festive clothes that come with it. For holiday parties that are a little fancier, I am eying this GORGEOUS pink dress and this number. I also love these heels that have the perfect dose of velvet.
If you attend a military ball/ball of any sort, this gown is stunning and this cross body is the perfect formal event bag. If you are going to a more casual dinner/gathering, I love this blazer, this fit and flare dress, this cross body and these shoes.
However, for all the time in between, I love these sneakers, this bomber, these red pants, this gathered skirt and this wrap top.
