The first of the 5 Basics of spring I think is so crucial is a white skirt. Although people try to stress the whole “no white after labor day/until memorial day” thing, I truly believe it white year round. It is such crisp, clean, style. Try pairing a more detailed white skirt like one of the ones below with a plain, spring top!

Next, I think you should have a good, quality denim jacket. They can be a little hefty in price, but if you invest in a good one it will last you for years! Pair them with literally anything and you will be set. Plus, you can get them in so many different washes to change the look. I think I have 4 different colored denim jackets. They’re my go-to for chilly, spring or summer nights.

After denim jackets, on the 5 basics lists is beautiful basic blouses. I love having solid blouses that I can pair with skirts, white jeans, printed skirts, etc. Plus, they don’t go out of style!

Next, I would stock up on as many LWD (Little White Dresses) as you can. So many people swear by LBD (aka Little Black Dresses) but due to living in a warm place, I love to have a little white dress on hand all the time to accent a tan.

Lastly, make sure you grab lots of evaluated white tees. When I say elevated I mean a white tee that can speak for itself when pairing with another item. For example I just got the flutter sleeve tee below and fell in love with how the little detail of the sleeve stands out.

What do you consider you 5 basics for spring?
