I have been so excited and anxious to start my lookbook tab on the blog. The idea has been rolling around in my head all year and I really wanted to make sure it was just right. Being a design student, I work so frequently on mood and trend boards, that I wanted to implement that here on the blog! Therefore, I thought the perfect start to the lookbook collection would be my favorite topic- beachwear! I love all things breezy, colorful and comfortable for beach days. So, I wanted to share with you all my favorite ways to dress up your swim suit, along with sharing the suit style must haves this season.
Beachwear of the Season

Basic Bikini Tops
I love a good triangle bikini top. They are truly the best. Plus, as far as tan lines go, they are the least brutal- hah! However, for beach days that I know I am going to be in the water a ton, I love to wear bandeau tops with a little more coverage. Everything is covered and good, ya know? There are SO many good options out right now, but here are some of my favorites below.
Beachwear Accessories
Next, besides bathing suits, beachwear accessories play a huge part in a successful vacation. Sunglasses, totes, towels and hats are all vital in not getting sunburned, overheated, and transporting everything to the beach efficiently. From straw hats, to round sunglasses, here are some of my favorites.
One Pieces
The next beachwear look I am trying to adapt to, but am definitely eager to try in the one piece. I think they are so flattering and perfect paired with a fun, beach skirt. I just ordered this pink striped option and LOVE the Marysia Pink lace up one so much (I might just have to give in).
Ruffle Bikinis
As far as this season’s swim suit styles go, the ruffled detailing is definitely my favorite. I always tried to find them before it was a big trend, so I am so thankful they are everywhere now! My shopping just got so much easier.
Beach Clothes
Last but not least, you need a good beach skirt, cover up, dress, pair of shorts, etc! I love to have something readily available at the beach so that I can take a walk on the pier, boardwalk, or wherever without worrying about my suit. The suit/skirt combo is my go-to all summer long!
As you go into the summer, remember to find beachwear styles that you always will love, as well as some that are new to you!
