Hannah and I got to go on one last adventure before I moved from Ohio and it was such a treat. So, we ventured to Gervasi Vineyards and had an exquisite stay. From the delicious cuisine to the Italian inspired villas, I was in heaven. It seems like you are in Italy the whole time. However, you are just minutes away from your daily moments at home.
Gervasi Vineyards- A Night Away
Gervasi Vineyards, Ohio, June 16th, 2017
We pulled into the Gervasi Vineyards around 3 p.m. on a Tuesday and as we approached it, I instantly knew I would love this stay. After checking in, we got settled into our Villa. We just so happened to get the Villa Firenze- HOW PERFECT! Next, we entered our room and were greeted by a bottle of wine and the most mouth watering chocolate covered strawberries. It is like they were begging me to stay forever and I was not fighting that one bit!
However, the time was rapidly flying by, so we changed quickly and took a nice stroll around the villas before heading to the Crush House for happy hour. Walking around the villas truly felt like I was back in Italy. The color and architecture let me escape for a moment and I was so thankful.
After our delicious Sangrias and Crispy Risotto Cakes at the Crush House we headed to the Bistro for our reservation. Let me tell you guys, this place was incredible. From the service and food to the view, we were in love with every moment we had at dinner.
The Bistro is actually a building that has been renovated after being on the property for so many years. They did a beautiful job inside. It was most definitely one of those properties you continuously find new things to look at.
Then, we started off dinner with a few different wines, trying to somehow pick a favorite (they really are all delightful). Then ordered our meals. I can still taste that meal in my mouth. I would eat it over and over if I could. Most of all, I loved the dessert. We ordered gelato, tiramisu and limoncello. Needless to say, I felt like I was having all my favorite desserts from when I lived in Italy.
We headed back to the room with full bellies, ready for showers, robes, fire and a good movie. The showers had 2 heads (hello, heaven!) and a tv…what more could you ask for. Lastly, the fire crackled as the night went on and we had a blast watching movies and chatting for one last best friend’s night before graduating.
The next morning we had breakfast delivered to our villa in a wooden box and we ate it by the fire in our robes. After, we eventually got changed and made it out for a morning stroll before our tour of the Gervasi Vineyards and the wine making process in the Crush House.
As we wandered through the fields and vineyards, I could not get over how green everything was. Due to winter being so long, when spring finally shows up in Ohio, it’s gorgeous. Next, we stopped by the Marketplace on the way to our tour. I grabbed my mom a little Mother’s Day treat. The interior decor in the shop was beautiful!
There was so much to learn during our tours and we were so thankful that we got to know more about the history of the property. Plus, getting to see the whole place during great weather was an added bonus for us!
Finally, we ended our tours with a final meal at the Crush House. In conclusion, I know the next time I am in Ohio, I hope to return this breath taking getaway!
