Well, life is changing fast! That is for sure. Sometimes I have a harder time sharing everything going on in my life on here, but this was so exciting I could not resist. I have accepted a job and am moving to Santa Monica!

I went to the LA area last week to 1. have a meeting in the city and 2. move in Russ. Well, sure enough I got another couple of interviews at other places and landed a job before I came home! I am so excited for the new opportunity and cannot wait to start!
With that being said, life is STRESSFUL. I am trying to find a place to live in Santa Monica or Venice, but it is hard! However, it has been fun to meet a few new people to hopefully room with. Let the adventures begin!
If you have not seen over on Instagram, me being in SM means I am close to this guy. I am over the MOON to be close to him. Long distance has been fun and all for over 3 years (ha), but it is sooo over.
As you can tell from the week there, we spent a lot of time at the beach. It is one of the things I think we are both most excited for. The water was so chilly, but the views were breathtaking. There were so many little hidden beaches and we only got to a couple of them.
Beach days, beach runs, surfing (for Russ…I am trying to get over the shark fear), camping, biking, and hikes are all going to be part of our weeks. I can’t wait.
If you have not noticed, I have been in a bit of a creative rut in TX and I am so pumped to see what CA has in store for Simply Poised.
In other words, HELLLLLO TRAVEL GUIDES! So far, I really want to see San Fran, Lake Tahoe, Big Sur, San Diego and more. What are your favorite places?
The future is so unknown and I have a million and one things to figure out before I leave (next week, AHH). But, I am ready to embark on a new journey! CA, here I come!
