One of my favorite parts of being home is cruising around with my dad in his vintage blue bug convertible. There is something about the wind blowing, the fresh air, the music playing and the scenic back roads that brings smiles to my Dad and I’s faces.

Vintage Blue Bug Convertible Rides
Mckinney, Tx, August 8th, 2017
Gingham Dress, Pom Slides, Wicker Purse and Sunglasses (Vintage)
As I quickly approach my move to California (which I shared more about here), I am trying to soak up all the family time I can. I touch on it occasionally, but I can never truly express how close I am to my family. I think I tear up every morning when I wake up, thinking about leaving all of them again. But, I like to imagine we will all live on the same street in our beach houses one day, right?
None the less, the bags are getting packed and I will be on my way soon! I am sooo not ready, but I didn’t unpack from college (sorry mom and dad), so I am a little prepared.
When I move, I am going to be car-less in Santa Monica, which will definitely be an adventure. Therefore, I am going to become a full on bicycle girl. Truth be told, I am actually quite overjoyed for that. Seabreeze and bike rides? Sounds dreamy.
I really wish I had a vintage blue bug convertible to drive around….but I think it has to stay in McKinney. As fall approaches, I am already so excited to return home for family friend weddings and holidays. I know I’m supposed to be a “grown up”, but leaving home is HARD! It never gets any easier.
When I saw this dress, I thought it was the perfect summer option. I love blue and white for summer pieces. I also love this piece, this darling top and this one.
These shoes were ridiculous when I first saw them. Then, I found myself looking at them again and again going “hmm, maybe they are actually really fun”. Here I am, owner of the fun red shoes. I also like this red pair and this red pair.
Well I sure will miss the vintage blue bug cruises, quality time with my dad and the winding roads of McKinney. But, let the journey begin!
