Although it still feels quite summery here in Santa Monica, fall is definitely approaching. I am already missing the fall hues of the northeast for sure. Despite the cold weather not being my favorite during college, the fall months truly were the best. We have so many new things to do here in California, so, I wanted to create a little fall bucket list of everything I want to make sure I check off this season. Although it might not be the most “fall” weather here, I am looking so forward to going on new adventures and finding all the fall-ier things to do.

California Fall Bucket List

My sister was in town this past weekend so Russ and I got to play tour guide(s). It was such a blast showing her all of our favorite places from Malibu to Hermosa Beach. Giving her the full tour reminded me of how much I love being a tourist in my own city and constantly discovering new things. With that being said, I was inspired to create a fall bucket list to share everything I want to do.
I think one of the thing Russ and I are anticipating the most is camping. We have been eagerly waiting for it to cool down a bit so we can enjoy a good camping weekend. I am so excited to explore and see new parts of California.
One of my favorite parts of fall is apple picking, or honestly just farms in general. There is something I love about going to apple farms or pumpkin patches. It may be the smell of apple pie baking in the apple farm’s bakery or running around trying to find the perfect pumpkin, but either way, they make me smile.
I have been seeing all my friends pictures from the East Coast of all the fall foliage and it makes me seriously feel like I am missing out. From the oranges and yellows, to the crisp smell of fall in the air, there is something that makes a fall day so special. The winding roads on the East Coast, abundant with fall foliage were truly spectacular.
I was so blessed with roommates (best friends) in college who wanted to go everywhere and see everything. We got out every weekend and loved trying to seek out the beauty in new places. It has been a hard transition leaving all my friends, but I am ready for the new adventures to come here in CA.
I am ready for some Sunday football. I want to get outside even more. Hopefully, we get to spend more time with friends. We have a wedding for some of our close friends this weekend that we are looking forward to! What are you looking forward to the most this fall? If you had to make a fall bucket list, what would be on it?
