A weekend in NYC is everything I needed and more. I lived in NYC in 2016 and had a serious love-hate relationship with the city. Although I could not be happier to be living in Santa Monica (I am meant for warmth), I was so happy to reunite with the city for a little while. It was a quick weekend trip with my fabulous sister who decided to join and I loved every second of it. Here’s a little glimpse into our weekend…

I arrived at JFK bright and early Friday morning and knew I had a few hours to kill before Sam landed. So, I headed to our hotel and was planning on taking a nap. However, between the view of the room and the excitement to take on the city, I forgot to nap before she arrived.
When Sam got to the hotel, we nibbled on some donuts, freshened up from our flights and headed to Manhattan to one of our favorite restaurants, By Chloe. When we both lived here, it was a frequent stop. The food is absolutely delightful. We got the Pesto Meatball Subs and Sweet Potato Fries this go round.I think we ate more calories this weekend in NYC that we have in a long time…but it’s New York, you just have to. Next up was Do (Cookie DO). Let me tell you, h-e-a-v-e-n. We may be biased because Sam worked there but we really adore it. I could eat way too much of it.
I am a big advocate for the Oatmeal M&M. Sam loves the Heavenly! But honestly, you cannot go wrong.
This street is full of the language buildings of NYC. It is one of my favorite places in the city. It feels like you are somewhere in Europe. After a day full of food and shopping for things to wear to the Pantene shoot (there will be more to come on this!!!), we headed back to the hotel for a good night’s rest before Pantene’s shoot the next morning. I am so excited to show you more from the shoots with Pantene! We were there shooting for their new foam conditioner (that I am OBSESSED with, seriously).
After the shoot, I grabbed layers and comfy shoes (so crucial) and ventured back to Manhattan to meet up with Sam. We grabbed our favorite Smores Dip at Blank Slate before heading to dinner with one of my greatest friends from school, Kristin.
After the most delicious meal at The Meatball Shop (one of the greatest places ever), we grabbed drinks with my college roommate Rachel and then headed back to Brooklyn for the night.
We woke up and grabbed bagels in Williamsburg and packed up. I did not want to say goodbye to this beautiful hotel. But, I was excited to get back to warm weather and my guy! I am already looking forward to returning to the city. Although it won’t be for this fashion week, I can’t wait to hopefully go for one in the near future. Until then, I’ll think about this dreamy weekend and all the delicious food.
