Well, I had different posts planned to share Friday and Monday, but long story short, my computer and hard drive got stolen. So, all of my pictures and work since my freshman year of college is now gone (insert any and all crying faces here). I’m a little distraught losing all my Europe pictures, design work and the endless amount of blog pictures I haven’t shared. But, life goes on! On a way happier note, I thought I would share the picture-perfect date in Malibu we had that Russ put together all on his own.
The Perfect Date in Malibu, California

We were both lucky enough to be able to escape work for the afternoon and head to our favorite spot in Malibu. I jumped in the car, ready for the beach and some time with Russ. Little did I know all the great things he had planned. As we drove and talked about our days, Russ made me grab something from the glove department and had it filled with Almond Joys (my favorite candy). I was a little too excited- it has been a while since I’ve had one. We arrived at the beach and grabbed everything to head down to the water.
We seriously had the beach to ourselves. It was crazy! We saw maybe 10 people all afternoon. As we laid out our towels and got settled, Russ cracked open a bottle of Rose- another point for him. As if it could get any better, he brought a meat, cheese and fruit board. BIG WIN. We got to hang out and soak up the sun all day. After lunch, we played beach games galore. Russ packed up my 3 favorite games. He was so ready to go! It truly made me so so happy. It’s been a stressful couple of weeks so it was everything I needed and more.
After we played all the beach games we could, we got to soak up this beautiful sunset full of color before heading back to Santa Monica. We ended the day at church with good friends. It was the best first Valentine’s actually with each other that I could have asked for.
