For some reason, I don’t love taking classes and really like doing it on my own. However, going into the gym without a plan was my biggest weakness for so long. Luckily, I have a repertoire of old soccer workouts in my head, but having a program to follow has really helped me get the most confidence and results.
Over the past year, I have really started to focus more on my health and strive to have #abs sooner, rather than later (we can all have goals right, lol). These 5 workout apps are my go-tos for keeping me on track! Right now, I am following the Sweat workout app and LOVE it. I am doing PWR by Kelsey Wells and couldn’t be a bigger fan. But, these 5 workout apps are all programs I have done parts of, loved and would recommend 110% to someone who is trying to find a routine!

SWEAT APP:
I honestly think this is the best bang for your buck if you are willing to pay for an app. It’s a little pricey, but barely more than half a SoulCycle class…just saying. I use this app every day and follow the PWR program by Kelsey Wells. If you are not a gym go-er, you can do her PWR at home app that just got released!
Also, BBG is on here. I can’t do BBG consistently, but I love it for random cardio days. That’s my favorite part of the app, you can follow one program while being able to double dip in other program’s one off workouts. All in all, I have been on this app for a few months and couldn’t be more excited about it. It has nutrition/recipes on a cal too!
TONE IT UP:
If you know me, you know Tone It Up has a special place in my heart. Katrina & Karina (the founders of TIU) are hilarious, relatable, inspiring and truly motivating to follow.
They released their app last year and I followed it all last summer and loved it. It’s really great for doing workouts at home and having a big variety in what you do.
I wanted to do more strength training, so I switched over to Sweat, but I still go back to Tone It Up constantly for one of workouts. You can “sign up” for daily “classes” that you get to do from the comfort of your living room and also follow the daily moves (my fav). They have studio instructors who are also incredibly motivating and really empower you through every workout. They teach everything from HIIT, to Yoga and Kickboxing.

NIKE TRAINING APP:
Nike, my love. I followed this app religiously in the beginning of college, along with Nike Running (below), and was in the best shape I have ever been in. The workouts are HARD. You can do more cardio based or more strength based workouts.
One of the featured I love, maybe just because I am a crazy sports fan is the ability to do a certain athlete’s workout. It makes me feel pretty legit.
All in all, this workout app is great if you want to have a variety of intensity, duration and type of training. It really has it all!
NIKE RUNNING APP:
Running and I have a VERY love hate relationship. Some seasons, I can’t run enough and other seasons, you’d have to drag me by my toenails to get me to run. So, I am very off and on with this app.
But, if I do go on a run, it is with this app! In college I trained for an imaginary 10k and followed the program on here and quickly got up to running 6 miles no problem. It does a really great job of giving you attainable goals and a road map to achieve them.
If you’re a more cardio based person, this app if for you! It has great plans to follow for all types of races or goals!

MADELINE MOVES APP:
I have heard the BEST of things about Madeline Moves and her workouts. I only do the ones she posts from the app on her Instagram stories as teasers because I already pay for Sweat, but they are HARD. Hard but SO rewarding. She is super intelligent in the nutritional field too and really looks out for everyone she works with.
She has a couple challenges that she does every year that people love to join in on. If you go to her Instagram, you will be blown away by the results.
Madeline Moves is a workout app focused on strength, mixed with cardio, but not an overload of it (which I love). If you want to learn more, just follow her on Instagram! She’s really, really helpful.
All in all, those are my go-to workout apps that I couldn’t live without. Maybe one day I’ll make up all of my own workouts, but honestly, at 6:45 in the morning, I love not having to use my braincells to figure out what to do for the day and what part of my body I need to target.
What are your favorite apps? I’d love to know!
