We just got back from our 5 day trip to Canada and honestly…I just want to turn around and go back. But since I cannot, I figured I’d share what to wear in Canada so that you’re prepared for your next getaway. Below are the three main looks I wore in Canada. The other days were just more combinations of these three outfits. If there’s one thing I can tell you about packing for Canada in October, it is LAYERS, LAYERS, LAYERS. It will be really cold, then kind of warm, then chilly. So be ready for it all.

The first morning we arrived, I was a little optimistic with how warm it would be. However, if you have sunnier days, this would be the perfect look. This exact leather jacket is a few years old from Mango in Italy, but I linked my two current favorites from Mango below. I travelled in this outfit and actually loved it because the skirt doubles as a blanket…score. These boots are my favorite fall purchase thus far. They’re like walking around in tennis shoes they’re so comfy. The price point is a little higher but completely worth it.

When we arrived to Banff, we quickly realized it was going to be quite a chilly weekend. The temperature sat between 25-40 degrees, so bundling up was necessary. Especially if you’re going to the lakes, the wind can be brutal. So wear LAYERS. I wore Lululemon leggings under my leather pants and I was abundantly thankful. I got these boots over a year ago and wear them nonstop in colder places. I want to get the black leather pair this year as well. This purse was a recent purchase from the Madewell sale and I’m obsessed. It fits the perfect amount and you can use the camera strap or a leather strap. The sleeper item of the trip was these leather pants, I wore them SO MUCH. They are so comfy and warm. Lastly, this beanie was the perfect last minute purchase. Russ ended up wearing it a few days too.

I was explaining to Russ while we were in Vancouver how much I love the “city girl” fashion feeling. There’s something about a good, sleek, coat (I share my favorite classic coats out right now in this post). This one is actually from Zara, but I linked a few favorites below. They actually have the green one I am wearing above in this color. These jeans are one of my new favorite brands (they are what the leather pants are too). Lastly, it’s kind of hidden in the pictures, but this sweater is perfect for chillier city nights and it is SO SOFT- big win.

All in all, make sure you check the temperatures before your fall travels. But, as for what to wear in Canada, I recommend warm layers, comfortable shoes and hats! If your head and your feet are warm, you’ll be set. I wish I could’ve packed a million outfits to wear, but fitting all of this into one suitcase was fun enough. I hope you have the best Canadian adventures. I cannot recommend Vancouver and Banff enough.
