As you probably read HERE, this year is all about finding confidence through care for me. One of the big changes I wanted to make was transitioning to clean beauty. I want to take better care of my skin. From beauty to skincare, I wanted to start ensuring that the products I use help my skin, not harm it. I figured now was the perfect time to start figuring out what I love. I didn’t want to bite off more than I could chew, so I started with a clean beauty routine. Although I didn’t know exactly what to look for, I shopped on Credo Beauty so I knew it’d be clean (Follain is a great second option). I am not a heavy makeup user and really strive to accomplish the minimal look. I’ve been using these products for a little over two months and have noticed my skin clearing up. Plus, it lasts all day AND feels like you’re barely wearing anything. But without further ado, here are the clean beauty favorites I’ve been using over and over:
This is what I was most skeptical of and happiest to say “I love it”. I use half a pump or less of the shade “Salina” for a more sheer appearance. On bad skin days or big event days, a full pump gives incredible coverage.
Concealer. The worst. But also, the best. It hides it all. I have both the “Yucca” and “Chicory” and love using it for under eyes and any redness/blemishes I may have. They last a long time and actually are rather water resistant.
Bronzers freak me out. People go so heavily in them and really have that “cakey” appearance. This bronzer in “medium” is rather dark, but I love it because it’s super effective with the daintiest of touches into the palette. I love the appearance of it more than pretty much any bronzer I’ve tried. Who knew clean beauty products would be my favorite too.
I have learned over the years that primers are crucial in the appearance of your foundation. Although I’d love if this one had SPF in it, it’s amazing anyway. I want to try this Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint that has SPF 40 and see how it works with the primer.
Hands down my favorite product. No questions asked. It’s a blush and a tinted lip pigment…need I say more. I got “temptation” and already want to try more shades. Like the highlighter, a little goes a LONG way, so it will definitely last a really long time.
Clean beauty always excited me, but there was something about a clean mascara that I didn’t quite believe. I thought they’d definitely be flakey and wear off. So, I actually ordered the travel size “After Midnight” in this and am already ordering the bigger size. It is SO far from clumpy and actually my favorite I have ever used. I have also heard great things about the Saie Mascara.
Eye brow gels can be so scary. People really tend to over do it and I love the look of a natural brow. I got the “dark brown”. It’s the perfect product to give you a little boost and structure, but not a completely drawn on brow.
I got this in the shade “Nova” and am obsessed with it. It blends just enough to not be obnoxious and a little goes such a long way. I can use about a 1/5 of a pump for my cheekbones, nose, and cupid’s bow.
I got the shade “Dip” and LOVE it. It’s a super neutral color and last for while. It’s definitely something you’d have to reapply through out the day, but that’s something to expect with lip glosses. I love how non-sticky it feels and the little bit of shine it gives off. Plus, the container is cute and I’m a sucker for that.
