OUR HOME. That makes me so happy to say. We have so much to catch up on, but first and foremost, WE ARE MARRIED! Oh and we are MOVING. Oh and we got a HOUSE. Overwhelmed yet? Me too. There’s lots of fun wedding/life update content to come now that we are a little less crazy, but I wanted to let you guys into our new home. I’ve given you a sneak peek into the house we bought and how I am hoping to decorate it HERE on Instagram Stories, but I wanted to take the time to show you our full moodboards and a peek into the inspiration behind our home. “Mediterranean Art Deco” is the best way I can explain the style we are going for. I love Parisian Art Deco but it’s a touch too vintage and gold for me to be surrounded by every day. I wanted to add that art deco-y feeling into the calm, crisp and homey feeling of a Mediterranean getaway. When I lived in Italy I fell in love with the home styles. There was something that screamed “calm”. I was blessed enough to travel back with my sisters and mom last year and when I did, the decor spoke to me even more. Somehow they use such little color in the furniture and linens, but so much in the textures and shapes around the room. So, combining that with Russ and I’s love for the ocean, the lifestyle that comes with it and hosting big dinners, I knew this style was perfect for us.

I will share more as we start moving in shortly, but for now, I wanted to give you a peek into my mind, thought process and inspo board. I will be working from home AND we will be close to family so we are going to be at the house a lot. Whether it’s all my time there working or our time hosting family and friends, I want to make it as much of an “oasis” as possible. I know a “Mediterranean Deco Escape” sounds like a challenge for Texas…and it is. But I’m excited to steer away from the farmhouse / California house trends and blend it all together in a way that represents us best.
