For HER
If she’s active, try buying her athletic attire. Often girls forget to spend money on that because they would much rather spend it on a fancy dress for some upcoming event. But, new workout clothes are the best motivation! Or, grab her that handbag she’s been eyeing but has yet to pull the trigger on. Lastly, if you really want to pull some heartstrings, get her jewelry! Russ got me a necklace and diamond earrings in the past year and I don’t go a week (or a day for the most part- ha) without wearing them. Go simple. It’s key. Get her something that she can wear every day. My favorite tip for jewelry is to study what she already wears and branch of that. For example- I really only wear gold, not silver. I also love to dainty necklaces/rings that are plain with a little statement. So when shopping, if she’s a subtle jewelry person, stick to that. If she’s all about silver and statement, go with that!
For HIM
My favorite thing is to just listen to all their random comments. They will mention all the little things they need, that unlike girls, they won’t just go out and buy. Whether it’s clothes or new sneakers or a new speaker for their room, they’ll bring it up! Just be a really good listener. Then, add in a little something special that they might not pick out for themselves (these are my favorite to shop for).
For MOM
Well, they are just amazing. Moms love everything if you put in the effort to be thoughtful. My dad and I always go to Nordstroms and shop for perfume for my mom. It is one of my favorite things. Moms are always so busy shopping for us they forget to buy themselves the basics. They love new handbags, slippers, PJs, coats and a memorable piece of jewelry that relates to all their kids.
For DAD
They also really love anything. Dads love experiences, so try getting sporting event tickets or a trip. They also love new gadgets like speakers, TVs, watches, wireless headphones, drones, etc. Also, like moms, they always love new clothes! They don’t often go out and spend a bunch of money on their wardrobe.
