The abundance of holiday parties has arrived and somehow although I knew they were approaching for months, I am still trying to figure out what the wear and how to style everything. Isn’t it funny how little time we actually have to get ready around the holidays? I always find myself running around, trying to collect all the last minute things, hours before our big Christmas Eve party each year. However, in the midst of getting ready I like to think I have become quite the expert at fast holiday hairstyles, especially for my fine hair.
3 Holiday Hacks For Fine Hair

With that being said, the success of holiday hairstyles is based on how soft and shiny your hair can look, while still looking volumized I have fallen in love with Pantene’s new in-shower Classic Clean Foam Conditioner. I have always struggled with using conditioner on the days of big events because it weighs down my hair. So although the shine is present, the volume is not. However, as a girl with fine hair, this Foam Conditioner gives me life! It has made my hair feel weightless and strong.
It’s super simple to use too. When in the shower, apply a palm size amount of the Classic Clean Foam Conditioner to your hair from the roots to the tips. Let your hair absorb the foam for a minute, then rinse in the shower. After using the conditioner and hopping out of the shower, I blow dry my hair and then, let the styling begin.
For fancier events, my go-to look is loose curls. There is something about the style that truly elevates any holiday party look. When styling your hair for this look, I tend to curl my hair towards my face for a vintage look. However, with fine hair, if you curl some pieces forwards and some backward, your fine hair with appear fuller. Then, I brush out the curls to make them look softer and more natural. If I am just leaving my hair down like this first look, this is all I need to do! Spritz it with hairspray to make it last longer! I usually flip my hair upside down and then spray it for extra volume. Walah! A super-fast and easy holiday hairstyle that elevates your look in minutes.
This second holiday hairstyle is perfect for highlighting statement earrings. After my curls are in place, I take a little section from the smaller side of my part and twist it back, securing with a bobby pin. Then, I pull a few pieces out to make it a little bit looser.
Due to fine hair, bobby pins easily slip out sometimes. If you spray hairspray on the bobby pin, it will stay put! If you want to take it a step further, you can do it to the other side of your part as well! Make sure to pull up small sections of your hair so that the part that is down looks thick and healthy.
Lastly, if I have a dress with a lot going on, I love to pull my hair back to add the extra chic touch. For this last holiday hairstyle, pull your hair back into a low pony. Because your hair is curled it will automatically look a little thicker in a low pony. Next, above the ponytail holder, separate the hair into two sections and flip the ponytail inwards to make a twist. Once twisted, loosen it a little bit and pull some pieces out. That’s a big trick to making your fine hair look thicker. The looser it is the more volumized it will look. I actually learned this style from my American Girl book when I was a little girl. That book was the best! The last step if you want to hide your ponytail holder, is to take a little section of your hair, wrap it around the ponytail holder and tuck it in the back of the band.
